Partira is located 39 kilometers from the city of Heraklion and 7 km southwest of Arkalohori. The economy of the village is based on agriculture and mainly on the production of olive oil and wine.

Partira today is a beautiful village with lots of greenery. In its picturesque streets you can find some of the old, traditional stone houses, some of which are half destroyed, others are kept in a relatively good condition. Do not miss the opportunity to visit the Museum of Rural Crafts in Partira, located at the southern entrance of the village, which is housed in the renovated space of an old family factory (Fabrica).
