Galeniano
The 1881 census reported Galeniano with only 27 residents. The settlement Galeliano is located at the foot of the hill Mamouloukou. The local economy of the village is based on agricultural production and especially livestock.
During your visit to Galeniano, we suggest you explore the hill Mamouloukou. On its ridge, you can see four ruined windmills, which are in a perfect harmony with the wild rocky landscape that surrounds them. On the same hill the archaeologist Nikos Panagiotakis identified a Summit Sanctuary. A path to the windmills of the area starts from Galeliano.
