Description of the route
This route starts from the village of Panagia (1) with the Venetian buildings, the beautiful Venetian fountain and the old factory (“Fabrica”) which has been converted into a museum. From Hani Moulefe turn to the west, take the asphalt road to Afrati where you can look for the remains of ancient Arcadia (3).
From ancient Arcadia go west through the olive groves heading to Kassanoi (4). You can visit there the wonderful Byzantine churches of the village and wander through the picturesque paved alleys. From Kassanoi the provincial road leads you to Ini. On your way you meet the old dam of Ini and the old watermill. The route finishes at the settlement of Ini (5) where you can visit the archaeological site with an early Christian basilica, the folklore museum, the cultural center and the new dam west of the settlement.
