Sklaverochori
The village Sklaverochori is very close to Kastelli, just 1.5 km away and 35 km from the city of Heraklion. The few residents are engaged in farming and agriculture, mainly in the production of oil and wine products.
The Byzantine – post-Byzantine church of the Virgin Mary, which is located in the village, is worth a visit, because of the frescoes of the mid-15th century influenced by western style.
