Geraki
42 km from Heraklion lies Geraki, at the site of Gerakiani Lagkada, at the foothills of Lasithi mountains. The residents are engaged mostly in agriculture and livestock, producing wine, raisins, cereals and dairy products. It is worth visiting the Byzantine church of Michael Archangellos in the village.
